Ronald McDonald House® is a home-away-from-home for families who have seriously ill children receiving medical treatment in our five-county area. Our house serves Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, our House offers families a temporary home with six private bedroom suites with bath, fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living room, children's recreation room and laundry room to meet the needs of our families.

On the campus of The Children's Hospital at HealthPark in South Fort Myers (off of Bass Road), the Ronald McDonald House® is staffed with a full time Executive Director, Secretary, Residence Manager. A Weekend Manager covers the House from 5:00 pm each Friday through 5:00 pm Sunday. We also have a Volunteer Coordinator and a host of volunteers.

Ronald McDonald House® offers all of this to families for only a small contribution; if that is not possible, no one is turned away.

The first House opened in Philadelphia in 1974, inspired by a young leukemia patient whose parents decided there had to be something better than spending lonely, anxious nights in hospital waiting rooms far from home. Since then, Ronald McDonald House®s have served more than 2 million family members in 28 countries.
